Champagne Forget-Brimont

The Champagne House Forget-Brimont is in Ludes, a small village with Premier Cru classification in the heart of Montagne de Reims, one of the most prestigious terroirs in the Champagne region. Led by 6th generation family member, Michel Forget, the Maison works 20 hectares with Grand Cru (Mailly, Verzenay) or Premier Cru (Chigny-les-Roses, Ludes, Montbré, Sermiers, Taissy, Villers-Allerand) classification, mainly planted to Pinot Noir. The Forget family have worked the vines for over 200 years, making their first Champagnes in 1929.

Forget-Brimont adopted a sustainable viticulture and minimal-intervention method 20 years ago. A noninterventionist winemaking approach has been adopted to allow full expression of the terroirs and varieties. Only the first press (la cuvée) is used and only the best of that pressing is kept, adhering to the commitment to quality and purity. Blending with a high proportion years in each cuvée, except Vintages, adds depth and complexity. The Champagnes then undergo a lengthy secondary fermentation 15m underground in traditional chalk cellars for between 30 months & 10 years.
