The Dupond family has a long and respected history in the wine industry, with roots in Burgundy and the Rhône Valley. In 1880, Joanny Dupond expanded the family’s vineyards from Beaujolais to the Côtes du Rhône by founding the La Renjardière vineyard just north of Châteauneuf-du-Pape. This 309-acre vineyard, previously an oak forest called La Renjarde, was transformed by Joanny, who personally planted each vine. Today, Hervé Dupond oversees La Renjardière, and he has broadened production by building strong partnerships with longtime wine growers and carefully selecting the best plots for quality. The vineyard’s unique terroir, rich in sand, clay, limestone, and rounded pebbles, reflects that of Châteauneuf-du-Pape, enhancing the authenticity and reputation of its wines across Europe.
