Mario Marengo

Mario Marengo is a small, family-run winery based in La Morra, in the heart of Piedmont’s Barolo region. The Marengo family has been making wine for four generations, with the estate founded in 1899. Mario Marengo helped shape the business as a dedicated small producer, while his son Marco later built the winery’s international reputation by bringing a more modern, refined style to its Barolo, Nebbiolo, Dolcetto and Barbera wines. Today, Marco works alongside his wife Jenny and son Stefano, continuing the family’s focus on expressive, site-driven Langhe wines.

The estate manages nine hectares of vineyards across some of Piedmont’s most important sites. These include Brunate, Bricco delle Viole, Pugnane and Valmaggiore, located across key Langhe townships including La Morra, Barolo, Castiglione Falletto and Roero. Each site contributes a different expression of Nebbiolo, from the elegance and perfume of La Morra to the structure and depth of Barolo’s celebrated crus.
