Pico Maccario

Pico Maccario was founded in 1997 by brothers Pico and Vitaliano Maccario and has become a symbol of modernity in both vineyard management and winemaking. Today, the winery is part of Oniwines, the wine project of the Veronesi family, marking a new chapter while maintaining the estate’s established team, identity and focus on quality. In the Langhe, the estate works with Nebbiolo vineyards in Neive, Serralunga d’Alba and Barolo, including the prestigious Cannubi cru. The ancient soils of the Langhe, formed during the Miocene epoch, are typically compact and finely textured, contributing elegance, structure and remarkable ageing potential to the wines.

Across the estate, the focus remains firmly on quality, beginning with detailed vineyard work and continuing through to the cellar. Modern technology is used with precision rather than excess, supporting the expression of each site and variety. The result is a portfolio that captures the character of Piedmont in a fresh, polished and accessible style, balancing tradition with a distinctly modern outlook.
