The Darling

The Darling is a certified-organic Marlborough range focused on pure, cool-climate varietal expression. Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Noir are made with bright fruit, freshness and minimal handling.

Teaming up in 2007, Chris Darling and Bart Arnst decided, after making great wine for other people it was time to make it for themselves. They source grapes solely from thier own organic vineyards in Marlborough and have full control over the process. Bart, Gourmet Traveller 2022 viticulturist of the Year, began experimenting with Organics in 1996. He has led ground-breaking research into organic cover crops and is a founding member of Organic Winegrowers of New Zealand and has been instrumental in spreading the organic message.
