Villa Sandi, named after its 17th Century Venetian Palladian home, is located at the foothills of Treviso in the DOCG territory of Prosecco di Valdobbiadene. Owned by third generation vigneron Giancarlo Moretti Polegato, this family-centric business has been devoted to wine culture for generations and continues to foster these ancient traditions. The estate has 65 hectares under vine including coveted ground in the heartland of Prosecco including Valdobbiadene and Cartizze.
Villa Sandi is committed to preserving the environment and prioritizing sustainability, from vineyard cultivation to the store shelf. The company harnesses renewable energy through an on-site hydroelectric power plant powered by the Brentella Canal, producing 100 kWh daily, even on weekends. This canal also supports vineyard irrigation and optimal cellar conditions for sparkling wine aging. Villa Sandi complements this with a photovoltaic system, operational since 2012, and proudly holds a Biodiversity Friend certification, reflecting low-impact viticulture practices that protect local ecosystems. Through collaboration and innovation, Villa Sandi continues to champion Italian quality wines and environmental stewardship.
